With less that 24 hours in the release of Teen Patti, the excitement is not just building but has already reached the saturation point. Being a resident of one of the posh colonies in Mumbai, I decided to catch up with the late night show of the movie tomorrow at one of the theatres in South Bombay, but to my surprise found it house full. The audience is extremely thrilled about this razor sharp thriller starring cinema’s two living legends, Amitabh Bachchan and Sir Ben Kingsley. The exciting element is also the 4 new debutants of the movie. The chocolate boy looks of Dhruv Ganesh, firangi angle in Siddharth Kher’s personality, the Mr. Attitude being Vaibhav Talwar and the new dream girl, Shraddha Kapoor, are also in limelight. The film definitely belongs to a different genre and may appeal to a niche audience, but is capable of having a powerful impact.

Life is always related to an equation and the law of probability; and this is what Amitabh Bachchan or as we may know him from tomorrow onwards Venkat Subramaniam, tries to prove in this emotionally riveting movie. Interest and anxiety will obviously creep in as the movie takes its twists and turns through the changing desires of its characters. Revolving around greed, deception and giant feats of imagination, all I can say is that Teen Patti is the one movie to look out for this long festive weekend.

It’s not just your charm as an actor but your aura as a human being that impresses your audience the most. And, you prove this time and again. Yet again, Mr. Bachchan has done something that is greatly overwhelming.

Many of us might not be aware of this recent incident, hence it would rather be a better option to narrate it. Gayatri Devi is a 90 year old lady, but not a normal lady, she is a former freedom fighter. Gayatri Devi had been on dharna on the streets of the capital for the past four years, fighting to get her freedom fighter’s pension restored. She used to received her pension from the Bihar government under the “Samman” pension scheme for freedom fighters since 1997 and has relevant documents to support her claim. But in 2002 her pension was suddenly stopped.

She was told that her name appeared in a list of fake freedom fighters. She approached many prominent leaders and got them to write applications on her behalf, but nothing happened. This is when CNN IBN came forward and filed an RTI on her behalf. Seeing her undeterred courage and determination, Amitabh Bachchan decided to take a path breaking step. And he did follow his heart as he has now adopted Gayatri Devi for the next 5 years.

Mr. Bachchan will take care of her pension for the next five years. The humanitarian actor was taken aback by the sad plight of these freedom fighters. He was moved because Gayatri Devi could barely walk but her determination towards her right was appreciable.

And all that Mr. Bachchan is benefited out of this noble deed are her blessings!! We love you Mr. Bachchan for the way you think!

For all of you, who are dying fans of this great legend, you get to watch the daughter-in-law dancing to the famous number, ‘Apni to Jaise Taise, Thodi aise ya waise…”

If you too think Auro was cute despite the depiction of Progeria through his looks, the credit all goes to Stephan Dupuis, the make-up artist. This look of Mr.Bachchan transformed him into a completely different personality.

The best thing about the making of this movie is that while the shoot, nobody was allowed to carry mobiles inside in order to protect Amitabh’s Look. This was a strict rule

While shooting in Malaysia, a man came into the shoot hearing that Mr. Bachchan was shooting. He roamed around the entire set but was unable to locate the star as a result of his get up. He left the location disappointed, cursing the unit that they had lied to him about Big B being in the film.

The last time I met him at the 16^th Annual Star Screen Awards, his grace and power to mesmerize was just the same like what it was years back when I first met him at his old house in New Delhi. 40 years in the film world is just the beginning and this man whom we all completely adore is here for many more decades to come.
